Nestling beneath the Darling Ranges with the Swan River meandering through - only thirty minutes from the city, lush green vineyards, wine, delicious food and other delights are all part of the experience in Perth’s leafy Swan Valley.
Settled in 1829 it is one of the earliest European settlements in Western Australia. The Swan Valley boasts the states largest wine producers and over thirty wineries many family owned and operated. The area is filled with restaurants, cafes, boutique breweries and historic landmarks offering an interesting blend of history, cultures, art, gourmet delights and fresh local produce.
The 2009 National Austin Healey Rally (Friday 10 to Monday 12 April) will be centred at the Swan Valley Oasis Resort in the heart of the valley on the banks of the Swan River. The resort offers, supa golf, laser corps, mash brewery, restaurants, and other resort facilities and the rally will explore the region and centrepiece the Swan River from the ranges to the Indian Ocean.
Start planning now and be part of a convoy heading west to the Great Rally in the Swan Valley at Easter 2009. Many features of this Rally will be truly unique and the program we have planned is sensational.
The Austin Healey Club of WA is proud to invite all Healeyites Sprites and Big Healeys to celebrate the 50th Anniversary of the release of Austin Healey 3000 at this Rally and we look forward to being your hosts.
As is a Western Australian tradition, there will be extra activities and billeting available before and after the Rally, so pencil the dates in now.
